SupervisorsAllen Todd, Executive Director, Missouri Coalition for Lifesaving Cures Maude successfully coordinated Missouri Cures largest event, the 2010 Hope Summit, on her fourth month of the job. She also successfully maintained a balance between motivating the outreach team and holding individual staff accountable to their job descriptions. She also is skilled at crafting thoughtful and strategically thorough program proposals and is an innovative thinker who excels at identifying resources and unique opportunities for organizations
Jeff Blum, Executive Director, USAction/USAction Education Fund ...hard-working, thoughtful, committed, creative manager who gave her all for the organization. She has been active on a variety of national and state projects, knows how to work with many different types of people and organizations, and won many fans during her tenure here. She will be an asset to many types of organizations. Marny Bielefeldt, Senior Vice President, MediaCross ...one of the most conscientious, committed and enjoyable people I've ever worked with ... She had the unique combination of being able to stand up for her own opinions, while still working well in a team environment.
Co-WorkersKenny Murdock, Faith and Minority Outreach Coordinator, Missouri Coalition for Lifesaving Cures I have worked with many directors and supervisors during my various employments but none have had the vision, direction and leadership capabilities of Maude Bauschard. Her accessible and innovative style of leadership not only creates a positive environment for all to achieve their best work but fosters teamwork as a foundation for successes. ...While working under her as a state wide outreach director I had the chance to see her organizational model at work. She developed a small team desperate to cover the state [of Missouri], into an efficient structure capable of stopping the opposition from getting a petition on the Missouri ballot. ...She proved to everyone working under her during this time that innovation saves organization resources and money.
Evelyn Miks, Regional Field Director, USAction ... has the capacity to work on many different projects at the same time. In her position as Program Manager she had to relate to different levels of the organization. She worked with national coalition partners in DC, staff of the state affiliates and partners, and with the staff of US Action in DC and the field. In this position she provided research support, resource support and kept all levels informed about key developments in the various programs. It was a lot to juggle and she always kept on top of it. Jordan Rinehart, Field Assistant, USAction ... an excellent colleague to work with and her strong management skills would be a great asset to any organization.
National Coalition PartnersChris Mooney, Journalist, Author, Lecturer ...ran a great event [Hope Summit 2010,] and as the keynote speaker, I felt every detail of my appearance was handled perfectly. I do not hesitate to endorse and support her future endeavors.
Bernard Siegel, Executive Director, Genetics Policy Institute ...the lead planner of the Hope Summit in St. Louis, where I provided a keynote speech. I was hugely impressed with her ability to run a complex event, with concurrent panels, effortlessly and without friction. The event was a success by all measures in large part due to Maude's meticulous, and largely behind-the-scenes, organization and attention to every detail.
Ryan Anderson, Coalition Coordinator, Win Without War ... an excellent organizer and I'm glad to have worked with her on the "Iraq Campaign 2008". Always professional, she brought a level of energy that's crucial to coalition and grassroots efforts. Ben Smilowitz, Director of Online Outreach, Americans United To Protect Social Security ... always reliable, effective, and highly capable. She's worked on so many different policy areas ranging from education, tax, budget, social security, health care, and more -- I wouldn't think twice about bringing her on board to get a job well done.
State and Field LeadersJoAnn Bowman, Board of Directors, USAction ... a detailed organized professional who is effective in working with diverse populations for maximum impact... She operates with integrity and honesty and would be a welcome addition to any organization. Jeff Garis, Executive Director, Penn Action ... both knowledgeable and passionate ... She was a valuable resource person for the staff I supervised -- reliably accessible and more than willing to provide assistance and answers. Anthony Fairfax, Senior Technical Consultant, Democracy South/Missing Voter Project I have worked with Maude on a couple of civic engagement efforts and found her to be a dedicated and hardworking person. I would recommend her for variety of management positions. Nathan Sooy, Northeast Wisconsin Director, Citizen Action ... made all of the pieces fit together within USAction's issue-based organizing campaigns. In my work with Citizen Action of Wisconsin around Social Security and other matters related to the Federal Budget - Maude was my chief and most important contact with USAction...Organizing campaigns succeed when there are strong people taking point at the center of the effort. Maude is such a person. I most strongly recommend her.
